Desde Torres Brandy, reafirmamos nuestro compromiso con el medioambiente para promover alternativas de bajo impacto ambiental en el mundo de la cocteler\u00eda, proyectos que ayuden a reducir las emisiones de CO2 y los residuos generados. Porque el sector de la cocteler\u00eda tambi\u00e9n puede aportar su granito de arena para hacer de este mundo, un lugar m\u00e1s sostenible. Dicho y hecho.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Reino Unido, Canad\u00e1, M\u00e9xico, Espa\u00f1a, Lituania, Finlandia e Italia son los pa\u00edses que representaban los 7 finalistas que viajaron hasta Barcelona a la gran final de la competici\u00f3n. Cada uno present\u00f3 ante el jurado su proyecto de gesti\u00f3n de bar, apostando por ser lo m\u00e1s sostenible posible. Todo un reto en el que s\u00f3lo pod\u00eda ganar uno, aquel que convenciera al jurado con su proyecto, conseguir\u00eda el premio de 30.000\u20ac para hacerlo realidad.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Meses antes, cada finalista hab\u00eda ganado la competici\u00f3n en su pa\u00eds de origen, as\u00ed que en la gran final de Barcelona, cada uno deb\u00eda demostrar ante el jurado por qu\u00e9 merec\u00edan ser el ganador a nivel mundial.<\/span><\/p>\n

El d\u00eda de la gran final, un jurado especializado formado por seis personalidades influyentes del sector de la cocteler\u00eda y la sostenibilidad, fueron quienes evaluaron los proyectos de cada finalista.<\/span><\/p>\n

La experiencia de la final de Torres Brandy Zero Challenge no se limit\u00f3 a un solo d\u00eda, los 7 finalistas procedentes de distintos pa\u00edses del mundo, disfrutaron de una experiencia de 4 d\u00edas. Asistieron a Mas Rabell, a las ra\u00edces de Torres Brandy en Vilafranca del Pened\u00e8s, all\u00ed visitaron la reci\u00e9n inaugurada Brandy House, la bodega y las soleras<\/span> <\/span>donde hacemos que suceda la magia, donde envejecemos el brandy. Durante estos 4 d\u00edas, tambi\u00e9n disfrutaron de la ciudad mediterr\u00e1nea, de su gastronom\u00eda y de las cocteler\u00edas de la ciudad, porque\u00a0 si de algo puede presumir Barcelona es que cuenta con dos de las tres mejores cocteler\u00edas del mundo.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

El jurado representado por perfiles muy distintos como Maria Garcia La Fuente, periodista especializada en periodismo ambiental; Lucas Groglio, emprendedor y fundador de \u201cCocteler\u00eda Consciente\u201d y Christian Visalli, director global de la divisi\u00f3n de destilados Juan Torres Master Distillers, se encarg\u00f3 de puntuar los proyectos de bar sostenible de cada finalista, valorando positivamente aquellas ideas que priorizan un bajo impacto medioambiental a trav\u00e9s del uso de energ\u00edas renovables, gesti\u00f3n de residuos, innovaci\u00f3n y responsabilidad social.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

UN PROYECTO DE BAR SOSTENIBLE Y UN ECO-C\u00d3CTEL<\/h3>\n

Los finalistas, no solo tuvieron que presentar su proyecto de bar sostenible, tambi\u00e9n los pusimos a prueba en la elaboraci\u00f3n de un eco-c\u00f3ctel utilizando los ingredientes del market, un espacio en el que a contra-reloj, deb\u00edan elegir aquellos productos locales y de temporada que hicieran resaltar su idea de c\u00f3ctel, para luego, prepararlo ante el jurado.\u00a0 As\u00ed, sin presi\u00f3n. Todo un reto.<\/span><\/p>\n

Un segundo jurado especializado, formado por Julie Reiner, cofundadora de las cocteler\u00edas de renombre mundial Clover Club y Leyenda en New York, David Cordoba, toda una autoridad en el sector y en concreto en la industria del ron y Javier Reynoso, Global Brand Ambassador de Torres Brandy fueron quienes valoraron cada c\u00f3ctel, tomando en consideraci\u00f3n no solo el sabor y la creatividad, tambi\u00e9n la selecci\u00f3n de ingredientes, la t\u00e9cnica empleada y la gesti\u00f3n de residuos en la elaboraci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tras la deliberaci\u00f3n del jurado, lleg\u00f3 el gran momento de saber quien ser\u00eda el ganador y se llevar\u00eda el premio para poder hacer realidad su proyecto sostenible. And the winner is\u2026 \u00a1Giacommo Gianotti, el representante de Espa\u00f1a! La elecci\u00f3n del ganador fue muy re\u00f1ida entre Giacomo y Sergio Mart\u00ednez (representante y finalista de M\u00e9xico). Solo 2 puntos separaron al ganador del segundo puesto ocupado por Sergio.
